I bought a new car….
Getting a new car
So, I finally decided that I need a new car. Or actually a car in my own name. Before I haven’t had any credit so the cars I’ve had have been in a
friends name. And this particular friend and me are not on the best terms right now cause he wants my $ and since he doesn’t really deserve any of my $ he decided to say that the car I had was his and if I didn’t give it to him he would call the cops on me and say I stole it. The car was in his name so what was I suppose to do!
So last week I go to the dealership and say I want to get a car. I brought a photographer that’s a friend of mine with me cause he bought a lot of
cars in his life and I thought it would be good to have somebody experienced with me. Well, I had my mind set on this one car, but my friend thinks I’m too spontanious and thinks I should testdrive other cars too before I make up my mind. So we cruise around looking at cars and testdriving different brands and models. In the end of the day I was so confused and didn’t know what car I wanted any more. So I decided to sleep on it and then we would go and get the car I decide on the next day. The next morning I had made up my mind that I wanted the first car I had my mind set on in the beginning so we called the dealership and told them we’re coming in. We got there at 12.30 and start the paperwork. Of some reason they don’t get any response from the bank that’s going to approve me. Turnes out they’re faxing to the wrong fax number. Finally I’m approved and there’s this huge pile of paperwork that I have to fill in. Everything is going well until the last paper which is the paper for the car I’m getting. It says the car has 4.700 miles on it. WTF, they’re trying to give me the car that everybody has been testdriving. My friend stands up and says this is bullshit and that they just tried to screw me over really bad and that we’re going to walk out. The finance guy calls the General Manager that comes running in. He explains there’s been a mistake and that they’re going to pull out a new car for me right now. So we ask how long it’s going to take cause it’s already 4PM and we’re starving. The conversation goes like this:
- We’re so sorry, but the car is on it’s way as we speak. (Sales guy)
- OK, how long before it gets here? (My friend)
- The lot is right around the corner so it should not be long.
- So 10 minutes?
- Actually they have to stop and get it detailed so probably a little bit longer than that.
- So give us a time when it should expect it to be here. We’re gona go and eat in the meanwhile.
- The car is gona be here in 45 minutes. Guaranteed.
So me and my friend go to eat and get back after about 45 min and my car is not there. The sales guy say it’s on it’s way and should be pulling up any minute. After one and a half hour the car is still not in sight and I’ve had it. I talk to the General Manager and say I’m going home and we agree that they’re going to delivere the car to me when it gets there. They call after an hour and ask if they can come and pick me up and take me back to the dealership tonite cause I there’s one more paper I need to sign. It’s 7.30PM by now. I’m so tired and pissed by now so I tell the guy that unless they give me a better deal I don’t even wan’t the car anymore. The Genaral Manager calls me back and I get a better deal and we decide that they’re gona come and pick me up the next morning and I’ll sign the paper and get my car. Fine. So I thought I’d walk in to rthe dealership and they would have the new papers with the better deal ready for me to sign and I could take off in my new car. Well, of course all the people that where there the day before is not there the next day and nobody has heard anything about me getting a better deal. So her we go again. It took me 3 hours before I’d signed the right papers and I could take off in my new car. Wow, never thought it could be that much work to it. Well, now I have it and I’m very happy with it!
